Dynamics GP—your path to migration

Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) is a standalone ERP system designed for small-to-medium-sized businesses that has been offered by Microsoft since the early 2000s. Microsoft has officially announced the end-of-life plans for Dynamics GP, as the company shifts its focus to the cloud-based Dynamics 365 family of applications.

With this announcement, many Dynamics GP users are proactively migrating to modern ERP solutions to minimize future disruptions. Rand Group’s team of CPAs and technology specialists can help you navigate this transition and move to an ERP with a stronger future.

Dynamics GP

Microsoft has begun sunsetting Microsoft Dynamics GP

Microsoft has officially announced the end-of-life plans for Microsoft Dynamics GP. The phased approach includes ending the sale of new Dynamics GP instances by 2026, with full end-of-life planned for April 30, 2031. Microsoft has made it clear that Dynamics GP is no longer a strategic priority, with minimal investment and no future innovation planned. Without ongoing updates and advancements, Dynamics GP will inevitably become outdated and rely on legacy technology.

A company’s ERP system is often the backbone of the organization, and which ERP to use is an important decision that has many ramifications. Since 2003 Rand Group has been partnering with companies to help them determine the right technology to help them achieve business success. We understand that when it comes to ERP systems, one size does not fit all. Whether you decide to migrate to a new ERP or stay on Dynamics GP for as long as possible, Rand Group is your trusted partner.
